There are so many
pirates and plagiarists and tricksters and cheats and imposters in this
funny font forging industry that it is not easy to distinguish between
the good guys and the bad guys. For instance, in the new German book "Adrian
Frutigers Buch der Schriften" (Marix Verlag, Wiesbaden 2005) written by
Adrian Frutiger (correct?), the typefaces designed by Frutiger are described
by Frutiger (correct?). See below the thumb-scans of the book pages 268
and 269: "Schriften von Adrian Frutiger". But here I also see fonts
not
designed by Adrian Frutiger. Is Frutiger
the author of this book which bears his name as the author on the title-page?
If not, who wrote this book and who slapped Frutiger's name on the title-page?
But in case that it should be true that Frutiger wrote and typeset this
book as stated on the copyright page of this book, why does he claim to
be the designer of fonts which he did not design?
